Character Name: Natasha Romanoff
Series: MCU
Age: 39
From When?: Her death in Avengers: Endgame

Warden Justification:

Natasha Romanoff has gone through and seen some shit in her nearly 40 years of life. She is an ex-spy and assassin who had been subjected to mental conditioning as a young orphan girl by an organization known as the Red Room. She was trained in espionage and various fighting styles that made her a formidable weapon. She complied by successfully carrying out undercover missions to retrieve information for the KGB before switching sides and using her specific skill set in a much more positive way.

She is someone who spends a lot of time studying things, learning how to spot "a way in" quickly and discreetly and that will cross over well enough to people and with inmates; though less so with temporary ones given the short duration in which she's paired with them.

Natasha has a lot of relatable qualities with those who have gone through similar situations and through that has learned patience and empathy and compassion. It has helped and will continue connecting her with people on a lot of different levels. She's a team player, while also being capable of taking up more of a leadership role if or when a situation calls for it.

Item: Her Nokia phone.

Abilities/Powers: Natasha is human with no superhuman abilities. She has, however, been trained extensively from a young age in espionage, combat, acrobatics, martial arts, marksmanship, and pretty much any other tool that can be used to gather intelligence by any means necessary. For all intents and purposes, she has been described as a lethal weapon.

Wardening Strategies and Philosophies:

Since Natasha will have been briefed about the Barge and her role on it, there won't be any jarring confusion that might have been had she been approached pre-Snap. She is in a really good place and content with her choices that resulted in her death prior to arriving.

Natasha, more often than not maintains a calm and easy demeanour, which allows her the room to tackle problems with an open mind and objective view. She's not the type to give up on someone simply because they push her away, as we saw her do with Clint after he went rogue. She gives space where it's needed, but she also makes sure that her presence isn't disregarded.

She can be overtly laid back and passive, which could be seen on the outside as a weakness, even though it's a personality trait. Natasha picks her battles wisely and doesn't allow herself to be walked on, manipulated or taken for granted. She has a methodical and deliberate way of thinking when it comes to thoughts and actions with her follow-through being logical and, metaphorically, painfully direct.

Natasha would be best paired with victims of brainwashing, manipulation and anyone who has experienced trauma mentally and emotionally.

Deal: An assurance that her team is able to reverse the Snap and those who disappeared are returned to Earth safely. This does not include her life being restored.

[ Natasha is still new enough that people might not recognize her, but she has been around long enough to have learned the whole layout of the place and some of the ins and outs of life on the barge. So, that’s not why she’s broadcasting today. No, she’s got other pressing things she wants to ask. ]

Hey, does anyone here have any James Bond movies? Preferably Moonraker but I’ll take any of the others that Roger Moore is in because he was the best Bond. Ever. I’ll debate that with anyone who disagrees. Oh! And it’s fine if it’s dubbed.

[ She’s about to turn off the feed but comes back into view. ]

Or, you know, I’d take Diamonds Are Forever. Goldfinger is good, too.

Sample RP:

Distractions were plenty effective during her first week on the barge. There had been time to settle in and learn all the written and unwritten rules of how things went. She reconnected with a couple of familiar faces and met new ones of both the warden and inmate types while mentally mapping all the floors and where all the points of interest are.

There is a process of filling herself in on events and noting how often things like floods and breaches and when the Barge makes port. Natasha Romanoff is nothing short of prepared and organized. It’s the control that she likes to have and always defaults to no matter how chaotic things are.

When night comes, she can’t help but go back to her last living memory. Natasha plays it over, remembering it in its entirety from start to finish like some scene in a movie that she’s watched so many times that she can recall all the dialogue. It keeps her awake and makes her heart ache because he looks at her, scared and opposed to her choice because, at that moment, she’s all he has left.

Most of everything she’s done comes at a cost. But this? This was giving back. He gave her a second chance and she knew her decision would give Clint a second chance to be with his family and she needs to believe it all works out.

And every night after arriving, she sleeps more soundly than she ever has in her life because she’s finally at peace.
